In the summer of 2022, Bonnell Aluminum held its 4th annual Beacon Awards event in Savannah, Georgia. This event highlights many of the initiatives and programs that are undertaken throughout the organization to sustain leadership, innovation and teamwork. This year’s theme of the event was “Be Great on Purpose”. Bonnell teams from each plant participated in team showcases in which they presented a project and displayed the results in a booth format similar to those seen at trade shows. Teams also presented innovative projects in video format. The “Wave” team representing the Carthage, Tennessee manufacturing site took first prize in the competition for its scrap and re-run reduction project that offers the ability to reduce waste and generate substantial savings.
